SciTech COVID Reporting

We are committed to supporting our students and families who are experiencing the impact of direct exposure to COVID-19. The health and safety of our students and staff remains our number one priority. Prospective Student Information
November 22nd 2021
The in-person SciTech tours were November 16th and 18th. There are no additional tour dates or open houses at SciTech. We encourage all students that are interested in attending SciTech to apply by the PPS Magnet deadline of Friday, December 10th. In early spring, once acceptances are finalized, there will be a mandatory new student orientation where tours and Q&A with students, staff and administration will occur.

Annual Title 1 Meeting
September 7th 2021
You are invited to a meeting to learn about Title 1 at SciTech. Title 1 provides funding for our school for various areas. At this meeting, we will talk about our Title 1 program and be available to answer any questions you might have. We will explain: • Curriculum at SciTech • Title 1 Report • State Assessment Proficiency Levels • SciTech Changes for the 2021-2022 School Year • Parent/Family Engagement • Important Upcoming Dates

Student Passwords Reset
August 27th 2021
PPS Office of Information Technology changed student passwords for enhanced security. This impacts all student accounts for HAC, email, Schoology, etc. New passwords are being sent by OIT via hard copy mail the week of August 30th. Individual schools do not have student passwords.
Student Schedules Available- Wednesday 8/25

SciTech students will be able to view their schedules in the Home Access Center (HAC) on Wednesday, August 25th.
PPS Hiring Student Transportation Ambassadors

ATTENTION SciTech Juniors and Seniors!
Pittsburgh Public Schools is looking to hire Student Transportation Ambassadors for the start of the 2021-22 school year. As a Student Transportation Ambassador, you will be responsible for assisting students in grades 6-9 with transitioning from utilizing Yellow Bus transportation to Port Authority Transit. Students in the 11th and 12th grades are eligible to apply for this position. Please note that if you are selected for the position, you will be required to attend a New Employee Orientation session Tuesday, August 24th or Wednesday, August 25th for 1.5 hours to complete your employment paperwork so that you can be hired as an employee. An invitation to attend the New Employee Orientation will be sent out to you via email on Monday, August 23, 2021. Additionally, Once you are hired you will be required to attend up to an additional 3 hours of orientation/training related to your job responsibilities.
